The Yamaha U1 and U3 series of professional uprights are of the most well-known and popular upright piano models ever made. This model is a Yamaha U30A, a more refined and upgraded version of the already high end U3 piano. Made only for the Japanese market, the U30A has longer strings, a denser soundboard, and higher tier hammers compared to the equivalent standard U3. Inspected and certified in Japan before its arrival, these rare U3 versions are top choices on the used upright market. The U30A has the same overall dimensions as a Yamaha U3 but comes with nickel-plated pins, which means they are less likely to rust, and it has a slightly better overall quality than the standard Yamaha U3.
